Check out the movie "Everything is Illuminated" if you haven't seen it. The picture you have here of the landscape yanked my mind immediately back into that movie. I think you'd enjoy it. Oh, and the concrete.jpg didn't come up - check the extension "JPG" instead of "jpg" maybe. I used to have that problem with my NCAR webpage.
